6" x 6" #1 & Better Green Rough Fir Lumber
Green, rough-sawn fir 6x6 graded #1 & Better, in 10, 16 and 20 ft. lengths. The saw-textured surface is left unplaned, so it suits posts, beams and heavy framing where a rough look or a stronger grade than #2 is wanted.
Green lumber is unseasoned. Rough-sawn stock is not surfaced, so measure the piece before you cut or notch.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between this and the S4S 6x6?
This is rough sawn and graded #1 & Better. Our S4S 6x6 is surfaced smooth on four sides and graded #2 & Better.
Will green lumber split?
Surface checks are common as green timber dries. They are normal and usually do not affect structural use.
Is the actual size exactly 6 in.?
No. Rough-sawn stock varies from piece to piece. Measure the timber you receive before you plan joinery.
Is this treated for ground contact?
No. Choose pressure-treated lumber for buried posts.
