Diagonal Lattice Panel, 4 x 8 ft (Western Red Cedar)

This is a 4 x 8 ft diagonal lattice panel in western red cedar. The crossed-strip pattern makes a light screen for trellises, privacy panels, deck and porch skirting and garden structures.

Lattice is a screening material, not a structural panel. It needs a frame to keep it flat and straight, and it will not carry loads or serve as a guard.

Features and Common Uses
  • Western red cedar, naturally resistant to rot and insects
  • Diagonal crossed-strip pattern in a full 4 x 8 ft panel
  • Light in weight and easy to cut to size with a fine-tooth saw
  • Unfinished, so you can leave it to weather or stain and seal it

Commonly used for:

  • Trellises and climbing plant supports
  • Privacy screens and fence toppers
  • Deck and porch skirting
  • Garden and enclosure panels

Frequently Asked Questions
What is lattice used for?

Lattice is a light screening panel used for trellises, privacy screens and skirting, where you want airflow and a decorative pattern.

Do I need to frame lattice?

Yes. A frame keeps the panel flat, protects the cut edges and gives you something to fasten to. Cap the edges with a 1x2 or 1x3 trim for a clean finish.

Is cedar lattice good outdoors?

Yes. Western red cedar resists rot and insects naturally. Seal or stain it for a longer life, and keep the bottom edge off wet soil.
