Hardie Shingle Staggered Edge Siding
Hardie Shingle Staggered Edge Siding is James Hardie's fiber cement panel that reproduces a staggered, uneven-butt course of shingles without installing them one at a time. Each 48 in. panel goes up in place of multiple individual shingles, so a wall covers faster than hand-nailing loose shingles course by course.
Primed ships as the stocked colour and can be ordered by the single piece or the full lift. The 19 ColorPlus Technology colours are factory-finished and special order, sold by the piece or the full lift with the lead time special-order colours carry.

Colours
Primed is the stocked colour. The 19 ColorPlus Technology colours are available as a special order: Aged Pewter, Arctic White, Boothbay Blue, Cobble Stone, Countrylane Red, Deep Ocean, Evening Blue, Gray Slate, Iron Gray, Khaki Brown, Light Mist, Midnight Black, Monterey Taupe, Mountain Sage, Navajo Beige, Night Gray, Pearl Gray, Rich Espresso and Timber Bark.
Ordering by the piece or by the lift
Each colour lists two ways to buy. "1 Piece" is a single 48 in. panel, priced for touch-ups, repairs or small jobs. "Full Lift (100 pcs)" is the entire lift in one line item at the lower per-piece lift rate, which is how most full-wall jobs are ordered.

Performance and warranty
HardieShingle Siding is fiber cement, noncombustible and compliant with ASTM E136. That rating covers the substrate, not field-applied paint or the factory finish. James Hardie backs the panel with a 30-year non-prorated limited, transferable substrate warranty, and ColorPlus Technology finishes carry their own separate finish warranty.
Questions
Straight edge or staggered edge - which do I need?
Straight edge gives each course a clean, level line, close to a traditional shingle wall. Staggered edge varies the butt line course to course for a rougher, hand-split look. What's the difference between buying by the piece and by the lift?
"1 Piece" is one panel at the single-piece price. "Full Lift (100 pcs)" is the whole lift in one line item at a lower per-piece rate, the way contractors order for a full wall.
Can I order a ColorPlus colour by the piece?
Yes, but ColorPlus colours are special order, not stocked on the shelf like Primed, so a single-piece order takes the same lead time as a full lift.
Does the fire rating cover the ColorPlus finish?
No. The ASTM E136 noncombustible rating applies to the fiber cement panel itself, not to the ColorPlus finish.
