HardiePanel Vertical Siding is James Hardie's fiber cement panel for a board-and-batten or reveal-panel look without the upkeep of real wood. This listing is the Sierra8 texture, a third surface option distinct from Select Cedarmill's woodgrain and Smooth's flat face.
Sierra8 ships Primed only; James Hardie does not offer it factory-finished in ColorPlus Technology colours. Select Cedarmill and Smooth are sold as separate Primed and ColorPlus listings at this size.

Performance and warranty
HardiePanel siding is fiber cement, noncombustible and compliant with ASTM E136. That rating covers the substrate; it does not extend to field-applied paint or factory finishes. James Hardie backs the panel with a 30-year non-prorated limited, transferable substrate warranty, and ColorPlus Technology finishes carry their own separate finish warranty.
Questions
Do I need to paint a Primed panel right away?
James Hardie recommends painting Primed HardiePanel within 180 days of installation.
Can I get Sierra8 factory-finished in a colour?
No. James Hardie does not offer Sierra8 in ColorPlus Technology colours. Select Cedarmill and Smooth are the two textures sold factory-finished, as separate listings.
Does the fire rating cover my paint colour?
No. The ASTM E136 noncombustible rating applies to the fiber cement panel itself, not to field-applied paint or any coating.
