1 x 6 select tight knot pine, kiln dried and milled tongue and groove with a V groove on both the face and the back. Sold as a natural, unprimed 16 ft. board. It blind nails through the tongue and shows a 5 in. face, so it suits soffits, porch ceilings and covered entries.

How to Install
- Store boards indoors or under dry cover, off the ground with airflow, and acclimatize them for 5 to 7 days in the space where they will be installed.
- Confirm the framing, blocking or plywood is sound and dry, that attic or roof ventilation exists behind the soffit, and that rain or standing water cannot reach the boards.
- Cut from the finished face with a fine-tooth saw or a carbide-tipped blade, then prime or paint all field-cut ends before installing.
- Nail through the tongue at a slight angle with solid backing at every fastening point, using galvanized or stainless fasteners. Do not overdrive, and keep a consistent reveal at the joint.
- Finish every face, end and edge on site with the same number of coats on all sides. Use transparent or semi-transparent stains on natural boards.
