4" x 10" D. Fir 24f-EX Commercial Grade Glulam Beam
This is a 4 in. x 10 in. (net) Douglas fir 24f-EX glulam beam in Commercial Sanded grade, with no camber. It is sold by the piece in 12, 23 and 34 ft lengths, and each beam is individually wrapped.
This is a non-stocking clearance item and the sale is final. Glulam (glued laminated timber) is made by bonding layers of lumber into one beam, so it is straighter and more stable than a solid sawn timber. It is an engineered beam, so span, load and bearing must be sized by your engineer or designer. The ends are wild, which means they are not trimmed square, so allow for trimming when you plan the length.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this beam sold per foot or per piece?
It is sold per piece. Choose a 12, 23 or 34 ft beam, and the price shown is for the whole beam.
What is glulam?
Glulam is glued laminated timber. Layers of lumber are bonded together with structural adhesive to make a beam that is straighter, stronger and more stable than a solid sawn timber of the same size.
What does no camber mean?
Camber is a slight upward curve built into some glulam beams to offset sag under load. This beam has no camber and is built straight.
What does ends wild mean?
Wild ends are not trimmed square to a final length. Plan to trim the ends to length on site.
Can I return this beam?
No. It is a non-stocking clearance item and the sale is final, so confirm the length and size before you order.
