HardiePanel Vertical Siding is James Hardie's fiber cement panel for a board-and-batten or reveal-panel look without the upkeep of real wood. Each panel installs full-sheet with battens or trim covering the vertical joints, so a large wall goes up in full panels instead of narrow boards.
This is the ColorPlus Technology panel: factory-finished, so touch-up matches out of a bottle instead of a paint store mix. Choose Select Cedarmill for a woodgrain texture or Smooth for a flat face; both come in the same 19 colours. The Primed panel, and the Sierra8 texture, are each sold as a separate listing.

Select Cedarmill and Smooth are available factory-finished in 19 ColorPlus Technology colours: Aged Pewter, Arctic White, Boothbay Blue, Cobble Stone, Countrylane Red, Deep Ocean, Evening Blue, Gray Slate, Iron Gray, Khaki Brown, Light Mist, Midnight Black, Monterey Taupe, Mountain Sage, Navajo Beige, Night Gray, Pearl Gray, Rich Espresso, and Timber Bark. The Primed panel and the Sierra8 texture are each sold as a separate listing.
Performance and warranty
HardiePanel siding is fiber cement, noncombustible and compliant with ASTM E136. That rating covers the substrate; it does not extend to field-applied paint or factory finishes. James Hardie backs the panel with a 30-year non-prorated limited, transferable substrate warranty, and ColorPlus Technology finishes carry their own separate finish warranty.
Questions
Cedarmill or Smooth - which do I need?
Select Cedarmill has a woodgrain texture and Smooth is a flat, grain-free face. Both come factory-finished in the same 19 ColorPlus Technology colours.
Do ColorPlus panels need painting?
No. ColorPlus Technology finishes are factory-applied and do not need painting. Touch-up kits are sold separately in the matching colour.
Is Sierra8 available in these colours?
No. Sierra8 ships Primed only and is sold as its own listing at this size.
Does the fire rating cover the finish?
No. The ASTM E136 noncombustible rating applies to the fiber cement panel itself, not to the ColorPlus finish.
