5/16" x 1-1/2" Hem-Fir Stock Lath, 4 ft

This is hem-fir stock lath, 5/16 in. thick by 1-1/2 in. wide and 4 ft long. The thin strips are used as spacers, stakes, backing and light framing where a low-cost strip does the job.

Lath is a thin strip, not a structural board. It is not rated for loads, and it is not rot resistant, so keep it dry and out of ground contact for anything that has to last.

Features and Common Uses
  • Hem-fir, a light softwood that is easy to cut, nail and staple
  • 5/16 in. x 1-1/2 in. thin strip in a 4 ft length
  • Low-cost stock for jobs where appearance does not matter
  • Not pressure treated, so it is for dry, above-ground use

Commonly used for:

  • Spacers and shims between stacked material
  • Survey stakes and marking
  • Backing strips and light trim
  • Lattice frames and craft projects
