An orange mushroom-style cap slips over an exposed rebar end and blunts the point, so an upright bar on site is not an impalement hazard waiting to be stepped on or fallen onto.
The skirt stretches on by friction and fits rebar from #3 to #7, 10 mm to 30 mm in diameter, so one cap size covers most bar sizes used on a residential or light commercial pour.
Made from polypropylene. It is a visibility and puncture-hazard cover only, not a structural splice cap or a weatherproof seal, and it comes off before you finish or pour around the bar.
