KingCord 1/4 in. x 100 ft. Diamond Braid Polyester Rope
Diamond braid polyester in 1/4 in., 100 ft. Diamond braid gives the longest service life of the braided constructions, and the braid holds its round shape rather than flattening or unlaying.
It does not float, and it is more expensive than polypropylene. What you buy with that is a rope that still works after a summer in the sun. Like any rope it is not for overhead lifting, and a knot can cost it up to a third of its strength.
- Almost no stretch, and it holds its strength when wet
- Resists UV better than nylon or polypropylene, which makes it the rope for anything tensioned and left outside
- Diamond braid holds its round shape rather than flattening or unlaying
- Sinks

Questions
Polyester or polypropylene?
Polyester lasts far longer in sun and does not stretch. Polypropylene floats and costs less. If the rope lives outdoors under tension, buy polyester.
Polyester or nylon?
Polyester barely stretches; nylon stretches a lot. Use polyester where the load must stay put, nylon where shock needs absorbing.
Does it float?
No.
Why diamond braid?
It has the best lifespan of the braided constructions and it keeps its round shape instead of flattening.
How much can it hold?
KingCord does not publish a safe working load for this size and construction. Do not use it for overhead lifting at any load.
