Master Lock No. 3 Laminated Steel Padlock
The Master Lock No. 3 is the laminated steel padlock most people picture when they think of a padlock. The body is built from layers of steel riveted together, which is cheaper than a solid billet and considerably harder to break than a cast body.
This is the keyed alike version, so every lock in the set opens with one key.
It uses dual ball bearing locking for pry resistance and a four-pin cylinder. The cylinder is not rekeyable, which is a limitation worth knowing before you standardise a site on it.

Questions
What does keyed alike mean?
Every lock in the set opens with the same key.
Can it be rekeyed?
No. The cylinder is non-rekeyable. If you need to change the key, you replace the lock.
What is dual ball bearing locking?
The shackle is held by two ball bearings rather than a single latch, which is what gives it its pry resistance.
Laminated steel or solid brass?
Laminated steel is harder and cheaper. Brass does not rust. For a lock left outside all year, brass usually lasts better.
Will it fit my hasp?
The shackle is 9/32 in. thick with 3/4 in. of clearance. Check both against the staple.
