TimberTech Terrain+ Composite Decking 5/4x6

Terrain+ boards carry a cathedral wood grain with blended color tones and a textured emboss, in neutral shades built around natural oak. The core is a wood fibre and recycled polymer blend, wrapped on all four sides in a wood fibre free cap, so nothing needs sanding, staining or sealing once it is down.

It comes in two profiles. Grooved boards are scalloped underneath to save weight, and Terrain+ is the first scalloped board compatible with the Cortex hidden fastener, so a colour matched plug covers the screw instead of a visible head. They come in 12, 16 and 20 ft. Square shouldered boards have square edges and screw through the face. They come in 20 ft. Use grooved across the main deck and square shouldered for the outside boards and picture framing.

Care

An occasional scrub and rinse is enough for the whole life of the deck. Use TimberTech DeckCleaner or mild soap and water. Never sand, stain or seal it.

How to install

Grooved boards are scalloped on the underside to save weight, and Terrain+ was the first scalloped profile TimberTech built to take the Cortex hidden fastener. A colour matched plug covers each screw, so the finished surface reads clean.

Square shouldered boards are screwed through the face, typically at the outer edge of the deck or in picture framing where a hidden fastener has nothing to grip.

Joist spacing, gapping and fastener spacing change with the application, so follow TimberTech's current installation guide for composite decking. That guide governs if you ever need to make a warranty claim.

Questions

Is square shouldered available in 12 or 16 ft?
No. Square shouldered Terrain+ is stocked in 20 ft only. Grooved covers 12, 16 and 20 ft.

Is Terrain+ compatible with Cortex?
Yes. It was the first scalloped Terrain+ profile TimberTech made compatible with the Cortex hidden fastener system.

Does it resist moisture and mould?
Yes. The cap wraps all four sides of the board, including the underside, so there is no exposed core to absorb water.

Does it need staining or sealing?
No. Wash it occasionally with soap and water or TimberTech DeckCleaner.

Can I use it for framing?
No. These are surface boards and still need a code compliant frame underneath.

What trim matches?
TimberTech Terrain+ fascia and riser in the same three colours. They are listed together as a separate product.
