TimberTech Landmark PVC Decking 5/4x6
Landmark boards carry a crosscut finish with dramatic highlights and lowlights, closer to reclaimed barnwood than a single flat tone. The cascading hues mean no two boards read quite alike. The finish is baked into the cap, so there is no sanding, staining or sealing at any point in the life of the deck.
It comes in two profiles. Grooved boards take a CONCEALoc hidden fastener, so no screw heads show on the field of the deck. They come in 12, 16 and 20 ft. Square shouldered boards have square edges and screw through the face, with colour matched Cortex plugs to cover the holes. They come in 20 ft. Use grooved across the main deck and square shouldered for the outside boards, picture framing and stair treads.

Care
An occasional scrub and rinse is enough for the whole life of the deck. Use TimberTech DeckCleaner or mild soap and water. Never sand, stain or seal it.
How to install
Grooved boards are built around a hidden fastener. CONCEALoc clips sit in the side grooves and set the gap automatically, so the finished surface shows no screws.
Square shouldered boards are screwed through the face. Cortex supplies a colour matched plug for each hole, which is why installers reach for it on stair treads and at the outer edge of the deck, where a hidden clip has nothing to grip.

Questions
Is square shouldered available in 12 or 16 ft?
No. In Landmark it is stocked in 20 ft only. Grooved covers 12, 16 and 20 ft.
Why does the colour vary so much from board to board?
Landmark is built around dramatic highlights and lowlights on purpose, so each deck reads as one of a kind rather than a uniform, repeating pattern.
Does it need staining or sealing?
No. The colour is in the cap. Wash it occasionally with soap and water or TimberTech DeckCleaner.
Is a lighter colour cooler in full sun?
Yes. Boardwalk and French White Oak run cooler than the darker Castle Gate and American Walnut, which is worth weighing in hot climates.
Can I use it for framing?
No. These are surface boards and still need a code compliant frame underneath.
