Irwin Vise-Grip 8R Locking Sheet Metal Tool, 8 in.
Wide flat jaws, 3-1/8 in. across, that clamp along a line rather than at a point. That is what makes this a forming tool: it bends and crimps a straight edge in sheet where ordinary locking pliers would leave a dimple.
The jaws open to 1/2 in. and reach 1-3/4 in. back from the tip, so the fold line can sit well in from the edge of the sheet. Once locked, it holds without a hand on it.
IRWIN backs these with a lifetime limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship.

Questions
How thick a sheet will it take?
The jaws open to 1/2 in., so anything up to that thickness fits. Forming force is what limits it in practice, not the opening.
How far in from the edge can I fold?
The jaws are 1-3/4 in. deep, so that is the furthest the fold line can sit from the edge of the sheet.
Will it mark the metal?
The jaws are flat rather than toothed, so they mark far less than a standard locking plier. On finished or coated sheet, put a strip of scrap in the jaws.
