The 3/8 in. size in the same 32-strand diamond braid polypropylene, on a 100 ft. length. It is the size most people reach for when 1/4 in. feels light in the hand and 1/2 in. is more rope than the job needs.
Safe working load is 150 lb., and no rope in this range is rated for overhead lifting.
