KingCord 1/4 in. x 100 ft. Diamond Braid Polypropylene Rope
General-purpose diamond braid polypropylene on a 100 ft. length, in 1/4 in. It floats, it sheds water, it does not rot, and it is the rope most people mean by utility rope: tie-downs, tarps, moorings and general work around a yard or a boat.
Safe working load is 95 lb. This is not a lifting rope. Sunlight is what ages polypropylene, so store it out of direct sun and it will outlast a coil left on a fence post.

- Rot and mildew resistant, so it can be stored wet or dry

Questions
How much will it hold?
KingCord publishes 95 lb. as the safe working load. That is a working load, not a breaking strength, and a knot takes roughly a third of the strength out of any rope.
Does it float?
Yes. Polypropylene does not absorb water, which is why it turns up around pools, docks and boats.
Can I store it wet?
Yes. It is rot and mildew resistant, so a wet coil will not go off the way a natural fibre would.
Why does the colour vary?
It is sold in assorted colours and the colour you receive depends on what is in stock. It has no bearing on the rope.
Will it last outside?
It is made for outdoor use, but sunlight is what wears polypropylene out. Store it out of direct sun between jobs and it will last considerably longer.
Can I use it for lifting?
No. Rope of this type is not rated for overhead lifting.
