KingCord 5/64 in. x 1000 ft. Polypropylene Split Tying Twine
Split film polypropylene twine on a 1,000 ft. put-up. Split film means the twine is made from a fibrillated plastic sheet rather than spun fibre, which is what makes it cheap, strong for its weight and completely rot-proof.
It is a tying twine, not a load-carrying rope, so keep it off anything overhead.
- Does not absorb water and does not rot, so it works outdoors where natural twine would fail
- Baling, bundling and general packaging where the tie is not coming back
- The 1,000 ft. length is aimed at repeat work rather than a single job
- Fibrillated split film rather than spun fibre
- Model 301671V1
Questions
What is split film twine?
It is made by splitting and fibrillating a plastic film rather than spinning fibres. It is strong for its weight and costs very little.
Will it rot outdoors?
No. Polypropylene does not rot, unlike sisal or jute. It does weaken under prolonged sun.
Is it biodegradable?
No. If you want twine that breaks down in the garden, use sisal or jute instead.
How do I cut it?
A knife or scissors. Heat-sealing the end stops it fraying into fibres.
