TimberTech Legacy Composite Decking 5/4x6
Legacy decking has a hand-scraped texture with cascading colour blended into every board, so no two lengths read quite the same, closer to reclaimed wood than a uniform composite plank. The core is a wood fibre and recycled polymer blend, wrapped on all four sides in a wood fibre free cap, so nothing needs sanding, staining or sealing once it is down.
It comes in two profiles. Grooved boards take a hidden clip fastener such as CONCEALoc or FUSIONLoc, so the main field of the deck shows no screws. They come in 12, 16 and 20 ft, in all four colours. Square shouldered boards screw through the face, usually with Cortex colour matched plugs at the stairs and perimeter. Mocha and Pecan are stocked in both 16 and 20 ft square shouldered; Tigerwood and Ashwood are stocked in 20 ft square shouldered only.

Care
An occasional scrub and rinse is enough for the whole life of the deck. Use TimberTech DeckCleaner or mild soap and water. Never sand, stain or seal it.
How to install
Because of the hand-scraped texture, TimberTech recommends a hidden clip fastener such as CONCEALoc or FUSIONLoc on the main deck surface, so nothing interrupts the finish.
Square shouldered boards are screwed through the face. At stairs and the outer edge of the deck, Cortex supplies a colour matched plug to cover the hole, since a hidden clip has nothing to grip there.
Joist spacing, gapping and fastener spacing change with the application, so follow TimberTech's current installation guide for composite decking. That guide governs if you ever need to make a warranty claim.
Questions
Is square shouldered available in every colour and length?
Mocha and Pecan come in 16 and 20 ft square shouldered. Tigerwood and Ashwood are stocked in 20 ft square shouldered only. Grooved covers 12, 16 and 20 ft in all four colours.
What fastener should I use on the main deck?
TimberTech recommends a hidden clip such as CONCEALoc or FUSIONLoc for grooved boards, so the surface stays fastener free.
Does it need staining or sealing?
No. Wash it occasionally with soap and water or TimberTech DeckCleaner.
Does it resist moisture and mould?
Yes. The cap wraps all four sides of the board, including the underside, so there is no exposed core to absorb water.
Can I use it for framing?
No. These are surface boards and still need a code compliant frame underneath.
What trim matches?
TimberTech Legacy fascia and riser in the same four colours. They are listed together as a separate product.
