Typar MetroWrap is a mechanically fastened weather barrier for multi-family and commercial walls. It is a water-resistive and air barrier that goes over sheathing or open studs under the cladding, and it tolerates up to 12 months of UV exposure while the building is open to the weather.
This is the 10 ft. x 100 ft. roll, covering 1,000 sq. ft. of wall. Seams, penetrations and terminations are sealed with Typar Construction Tape and flashing, sold separately.
The lifetime limited warranty applies only when MetroWrap is installed with the complete Typar Weather Protection System (wrap, flashing and construction tape). Contact us to quote the matching tape and flashing.

How to Install
- Check the substrate and remove any sharp protrusions. Do not install in rain or over wet sheathing.
- Run the roll horizontally or vertically, lapping in shingle fashion: 4 in. horizontal and 6 in. vertical overlaps where possible, and 12 in. at corners.
- Fasten at least every 24 in. horizontally and vertically: plastic-headed nails, screws or cap staples into wood studs, or screws with plastic washers into steel studs.
- Apply Typar Construction Tape to every seam and termination, and repair any cuts or tears with tape.
- Treat windows, doors and penetrations with HD sealant and flashing, keeping upper material lapped over lower material.
