Ipe Clip EXTREME-S is DeckWise's hidden fastener for hardwood, composite and PVC decking. Integrated spacer legs set a 5/32 in. gap automatically as you push each board tight, so there's no measuring between boards.
Each clip has a black-oxide stainless steel insert that the mounting screw drives into at a 45-degree angle, straight through the clip and into the joist, from the top side of the deck.
This is the Hardwood Brown color. It comes in a 175 ct. kit (about 100 sq. ft. of coverage) or a 1050 ct. contractor bucket (about 600 sq. ft.).

DeckWise recommends running joist tape over the joists first to seal around the fasteners and help prevent rot.
How to Install
- Position the clip in the groove, biscuit-cut slot, or routed edge of the deck board.
- Drive the stainless steel T15 star-drive screw through the clip at a 45-degree angle into the joist, working from the top side of the deck.
- Set the next board against the clip's spacer legs and push it tight, the legs set the 5/32 in. gap automatically.
- Repeat clip, screw, board across the deck. The clips are symmetrical so boards can go in either side out.
About 1 in. of positioning tolerance in the slot is normal and won't affect the gap spacing.
