GUARD 2 in. Double Locking Solid Brass Padlock, Keyed Alike
The 2 in. body is the largest in GUARD's solid brass range, with a correspondingly thicker shackle. This is the one for a gate, compound or anything left unattended.
Keyed alike, so every lock in the set opens with the same key. On a property with several gates and buildings that is the difference between carrying one key and carrying eight.
Double locking means the shackle is locked at both the heel and the toe rather than at the heel alone. It is the difference that matters most in a padlock: a single-locking shackle can be twisted or prised open at the free end, and a double-locking one cannot.
The body is solid brass with a sanded finish, the shackle is hardened steel and chrome plated, the springs are stainless and the cylinder uses pick-resistant mushroom pins. Brass is the reason to choose this over a plated steel padlock outdoors, since it does not rust and the cylinder keeps turning after a winter.

Is 2 in. worth it over 1-1/2 in.?
