10 in. horizontal arm, 12 in. vertical leg. The long vertical leg is what makes this one useful: it reaches across more than one fixing point on the wall, so the load is not hanging off a single screw at the top.
The shelf itself should be at least as deep as the arm. A shelf overhanging the bracket tips under load at the front edge.

- Use every fixing hole in the bracket, and match the shelf depth to the arm so nothing overhangs.
