1/2" x 11-1/4" Primed MDF Baseboard, 16 ft.
A tall, square-profile baseboard milled from medium-density fiberboard and primed for paint, sized 11-1/4 in. to match the taller baseboard trend seen with 9-ft. and higher ceilings. Runs 1/2 in. thick in full 16 ft. lengths, so long runs need fewer joints.
Primed, unfinished profile. This is a flat, square-edge board ready for field paint; it does not carry a factory topcoat or a decorative routed profile. Contact us if you need a profiled (colonial or ranch-style) baseboard instead.

How to Install
- Let the boards sit in the room for 24-48 hours before installing so the MDF equalizes to the room's humidity.
- Mitre outside corners and cope or mitre inside corners with a fine-tooth blade to limit tear-out on the primed face.
- Nail into wall studs with 1-1/2 in. to 2 in. finish or brad nails, spaced about every 16 in.
- Fill nail holes, caulk the top edge and end joints, then prime the cut ends and apply the finish coat.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this be stained instead of painted?
No. MDF has no wood grain to take a stain finish; it is intended for a painted finish only.
Does the 16 ft. length ship in one piece?
Yes, it is a single continuous 16 ft. board, not a finger-jointed or spliced length.
Is a shorter or narrower baseboard available?
Yes, ask in-store for our standard 4-1/4 in. and 5-1/4 in. primed MDF baseboard for a more traditional height.
