11/16" Import 2-Side HDO Concrete Forming Plywood 4' x 10'
This import forming plywood carries a High Density Overlay (HDO) on both faces. HDO is a resin-impregnated fibre surface bonded to the plywood, which gives a hard, smooth, non-absorbent face that releases cleanly from concrete and can be reused across multiple pours.
Each sheet is 11/16 in. (17.5 mm) thick and 4 ft. x 10 ft., so a single sheet covers a full 10 ft. wall lift without a horizontal joint. Because both faces are overlaid, the sheet can be flipped when one side wears.
Features and Common Uses
- High Density Overlay (HDO) on both faces for a smooth concrete finish and clean release
- Two usable faces: flip the sheet to extend its life on the job
- 11/16 in. (17.5 mm) thickness suits wall, column and slab forming
- 4 ft. x 10 ft. sheet size cuts down on joints in tall wall forms
- Supplied 50 sheets to a pack; sheets are also sold individually
Commonly used for:
- Concrete wall forms
- Slab, deck and edge forms
- Column and beam forms
- Gang forms and reusable panel systems

HDO overlay and reuse information follows APA - The Engineered Wood Association's guidance on overlaid panels. Panel construction, grade and reuse life vary by mill and by how the form is built and cared for, so confirm the panel suits the finish and number of pours your job needs. Handling and Care
- Seal all cut ends and edges with a heavy coat of exterior wood primer or edge sealer to keep moisture out
- Apply a release agent to the form face before every pour
- Clean concrete off faces and edges with non-ferrous tools only, and protect corners and edges when stripping
- Fasten with spiral or ring-shank nails and avoid overdriving, which breaks the overlay and lets water in
- Leave a small gap between panels for flatwise movement as the wood takes up moisture
- Store panels flat, face to face, and out of the weather
Care and handling follow APA overlaid panel guidance and general concrete forming practice. Source: The Construction Specifier: Specifying the right plywood for concrete formwork.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this forming plywood be reused?
Yes. HDO panels are made for repeated pours, and reuse depends mainly on handling, edge sealing and release agent use. Industry guidance puts well-cared-for HDO panels in the range of 20 to 50 reuses.
Are both sides of the sheet usable?
Yes. Both faces carry the HDO surface, so you can flip the sheet when one face wears.
How many sheets come in a pack?
The supplier packs 50 sheets. Sheets are also sold individually, and bulk pack pricing is available on request.
Do I need to seal the edges?
Yes. Seal every cut edge and exposed end with exterior wood primer or edge sealer before use, and reseal after cutting.
What is the difference between HDO and MDO?
HDO carries a heavier resin content in its overlay than MDO, so the face is harder and holds up to more pours and a smoother finish. MDO is the lower-cost option for fewer reuses.
