1" x 3" Primed Pine S1S2E Fascia

This is a 1x3 primed pine fascia board, surfaced on one side and two edges (S1S2E), in 10 and 12 ft lengths. It is a high quality, cost-effective natural wood trim for fascia, door, window and garage trim, corner boards and facing columns.

Primer is a base coat, not a finish. The board is primed with PPG Fast Dry Acrylic Latex Primer, using a factory flood coat and back brushing process that leaves a flat gray finish and cuts painting time on site. Topcoat it with exterior paint, and seal the cut ends before you fasten it in place.

Features and Common Uses
  • Dak Trim Treated pine, a natural wood trim that is cost-effective and long lasting

Frequently Asked Questions
What does S1S2E mean?

S1S2E means surfaced on one side and two edges. One face and both edges are planed smooth, and the other face is left rough, so install the smooth face out.

Do I need to paint primed fascia?

Yes. Primer protects the board for a short time, but it needs a topcoat of exterior paint to hold up to weather.

Should I seal the ends?

Yes. Brush primer or paint on every cut end before you install the board, because end grain absorbs water fastest.
