This is 1x4 Western Red Cedar tongue-and-groove board in the Clear appearance grade, milled with a V-Joint profile: a V-groove run along both edges of the face so each board reads as a distinct course once installed. It is kiln-dried and sold in random lengths, not one fixed board length.

How to Install
- Sticker the boards flat in the room where they'll be installed for 1 to 2 weeks before fastening, so the wood reaches the room's moisture content first.
- Fasten each board through the tongue at every stud or furring strip with a finish nail, so no nail heads show on the face.
- Seat each board's groove over the previous board's tongue, checking for square every few courses.
- In a sauna, keep the clearance around the heater that the heater manufacturer specifies, and leave the cedar unfinished rather than sealing it with a film-forming coating.

No. Interior sauna cedar is normally left unfinished, since a film-forming stain traps moisture and gets hot to the touch. For exterior siding or soffit use, a semi-transparent or solid stain is fine once it's acclimated.
