2" x 2" Economy Grade Dimensional Lumber
Economy grade 2 x 2 lumber in Hem-Fir/Spruce, surfaced on four sides (S4S) to a 1-1/2 in. x 1-1/2 in. actual section. Sold as an 8 ft. board or a 12 in. cut-off.
Economy grade is not for structural use. It allows knots, wane and splits that a Standard & Better board does not, so choose our 2 x 2 SPF Standard & Better where strength or a clean face matters.

No. Economy grade is for non-structural and temporary uses such as stakes, blocking and bracing. For load-bearing or visible work use a Standard & Better grade.

The 8 ft. option is a full-length board. The 12 in. option is a pre-cut 12 inch piece, popular for stakes and spacers.
