Will this connect to my existing plugs?
Only to plugs of the same profile. Industrial couplers accept industrial (M-style) plugs; industrial (M-style), automotive (T-style) and ARO profiles do not interchange.
Do I need thread sealant?
Yes. Wrap the NPT threads with PTFE tape or use a pipe thread sealant before tightening.
