Deslauriers DISC-10 Rebar Impalement Safety Cap

The Deslauriers DISC-10 is an impalement safety cover that seats over exposed rebar so a worker who slips or falls onto a vertical bar lands on a wide, protected surface instead of the bar end. It fits #3 through #8 rebar.

A self-centering formed steel insert sets the cap square to the bar, and internal fins hold it centered. The 16 sq. in. top spreads the load. Approved by California OSHA and listed to Federal OSHA 1926.701(b) requirements.

Sold individually, so buy exactly the number of caps your pour needs.

How to Install
  1. Confirm the exposed rebar is #3 to #8.
  2. Set the cap on the bar end with the steel insert centered over the bar.
  3. Push or tap the cap down until the fins grip the bar and the top sits square.
  4. Take the caps off before the bar is covered or cut back.
