Diablo 7-1/4" x 4-Tooth Fiber Cement Circular Saw Blade

The Diablo HardieBlade D0704DH is a 7-1/4 in. circular saw blade built specifically for cutting fiber cement siding and trim. Four polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tips in a triple-chip grind replace the carbide teeth on a standard blade, which is what gives it its long life against an abrasive material like fiber cement.

This is a thin-kerf blade (.071 in. kerf, .051 in. plate) on a 5/8 in. arbor, so it fits any standard 7-1/4 in. corded or cordless circular saw. It is not a general-purpose wood blade; using it on wood or metal wastes the diamond tips.

Features and Common Uses
  • 4 polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tips in a triple-chip grind, built for fiber cement instead of wood or metal
  • Non-stick Perma-Shield coating resists heat buildup and pitch/residue transfer
  • Laser-cut thin kerf body with anti-vibration slots for a cleaner, quieter cut
  • James Hardie approved for use on HardiePlank and HardieTrim fiber cement products

Commonly used for:

  • Cutting fiber cement lap siding, panel siding and trim to length on site
  • Field ripping and cross-cutting fiber cement boards with a corded or cordless circular saw
  • Any fiber cement cutting job where a standard carbide blade would wear out in one board

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use this on wood or metal?

No. The PCD tips are matched to fiber cement's abrasiveness. Cutting wood or metal dulls the diamond edge quickly and wastes the blade's main advantage over a carbide blade.

Does this fit my cordless circular saw?

Any 7-1/4 in. circular saw with a 5/8 in. arbor, corded or cordless, takes this blade.

Why only 4 teeth?

Fiber cement blades run fewer, larger PCD teeth than a wood blade's carbide teeth because each tooth costs far more and needs a big gullet to clear the abrasive dust; more teeth would add cost without adding life on this material.
