Diablo Rebar Demon 1-1/8" x 18" SDS Plus Hammer Drill Bit

Rebar Demon is Diablo's SDS-Plus bit for drilling reinforced concrete, built with a 4-cutter full-carbide head so it keeps cutting through embedded rebar instead of deflecting or stalling. This is the 1-1/8 in. diameter, 18 in. overall length, with a 16 in. usable drilling depth.

The tri-metal fusion-welded head resists heat up to 1800°F, well above the roughly 800°F a standard 2-cutter bit tolerates before the carbide breaks down, which is what gives it the longer life in rebar-heavy concrete.

Features and Common Uses
  • 4-cutter full-carbide head, tri-metal fusion welded for impact resistance
  • Rated to 1800°F, so the carbide holds up when the bit strikes embedded rebar
  • 4-flute design clears dust and debris to keep the bit cutting and cooler
  • SDS-Plus shank fits any SDS-Plus rotary hammer

Commonly used for:

  • Drilling anchor holes in reinforced concrete slabs, walls and footings
  • Setting anchors where the hole location may pass through rebar
  • Any concrete drilling job where a standard 2-cutter bit wears out too fast

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it cut through rebar, or just avoid it?

It's built to keep drilling through embedded rebar rather than deflect off it: the 4-cutter full-carbide head and 1800°F heat resistance are what let it push through instead of dulling or breaking.

What rotary hammer does it fit?

Any SDS-Plus rotary hammer. This is a bit only, sold without a tool.

How deep can I drill?

16 in. of usable drilling depth out of an 18 in. overall length; the last 2 in. is shank.
