Original Gorilla Glue
Original Gorilla Glue is a water-activated polyurethane that expands up to 3 times as it cures, pushing into the grain of wood, stone, metal, ceramic, foam, glass and concrete. It is 100% waterproof, rated ANSI/HPVA Type I.
Dampen one surface, apply a thin coat to the other, and clamp for 1 to 2 hours. It foams as it cures, so it needs clamping and does not fill gaps. It won't bond polyethylene or polypropylene plastic.

How to Use
- Clean the surfaces and roughen anything glossy.
- Lightly dampen one surface with water.
- Apply a thin coat to the other surface, about 1/2 oz. per sq. ft.
- Clamp 1 to 2 hours and leave 24 hours to cure.
- Wipe uncured glue with a dry cloth or paint thinner; remove cured glue by sanding or scraping.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is it foaming out of the joint?
It expands as it cures. Use a thin coat and clamp the joint; trim or sand the cured foam off afterwards.
Will it glue plastic?
Most rigid plastics, yes. Not polyethylene or polypropylene, and not rubber with a high oil content.
Original or Clear Gorilla Glue?
Original is fully waterproof and expands. Clear Gorilla Glue doesn't foam and dries clear, but is water resistant only.
