Green Line Brass Swivel Female Hose x Female Pipe (NPT) Adapter

Brass adapter that joins a garden hose (swivel female garden hose thread (fght)) to female pipe thread (npt) pipe. The hose nut swivels, so it threads on without twisting the pipe side or the hose. Lead-free brass, rated 150 psi working pressure.

How to Install
  1. Wrap the male NPT thread clockwise with 3 to 4 turns of PTFE tape or use pipe dope. Hose threads seal on a washer and get no tape.
  2. Thread the NPT side hand-tight, then turn 1 to 2 more turns with a wrench. Do not overtighten brass.
  3. Make sure a hose washer sits in every female hose-thread end, then hand-tighten the hose connection and test for leaks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is garden hose thread the same as pipe thread?

No. Garden hose thread (GHT, 3/4" 11.5 TPI) is a straight thread that seals on a washer. NPT pipe thread is tapered and seals on the thread itself. They do not interchange, which is what this adapter solves.
