James Hardie Artisan V-Groove Fiber Cement Lap Siding, 8.25 in. x 12 ft., Primed for Paint

The Artisan V-Groove is James Hardie's thick-profile fiber cement board from the Artisan Architectural Collection, milled with a V-groove reveal and James Hardie's lock joint system for a fast, concealed-fastener install. It's 8.25 in. wide, 5/8 in. thick and runs 7 in. of exposure per board, noticeably thicker than standard lap siding, which is what gives the deep shadow lines the Artisan line is known for.

It installs vertically, horizontally as a lap siding, or as a soffit board, and comes primed and ready for field paint. Boards ship 12 ft. long, 126 per lift.

Primed for Paint only. This profile is not available in a factory ColorPlus finish. Contact us to request a ColorPlus quote if you'd like a factory-finished color option.

Features and Common Uses
  • Extra-thick 5/8 in. profile with a milled V-groove reveal, for a deeper shadow line than standard lap siding
  • Lock joint system conceals the fastener line of the course below for a cleaner reveal and a faster install
  • Installs vertically, horizontally, or as a soffit board
  • Noncombustible fiber cement resists moisture damage and holds no appeal for pests like woodpeckers or termites
  • Primed and ready for field paint in the color of your choice

Commonly used for:

  • Accent walls, gables and feature elevations where a deeper shadow line matters
  • Vertical board-and-batten style facades
  • Covered porch and eave soffits
  • Full elevations on new builds and re-sides where the standard Artisan Lap profile isn't the look
