HardiePlank Eased Edge is James Hardie's best-selling fiber cement lap siding, milled 5/16 in. thick with an eased (softened) top edge for a classic clapboard reveal. This is the 12 in. width, running 10-3/4 in. of exposure per course at the standard 1-1/4 in. overlap, in 12 ft. lengths.

Primed for Paint only. Neither profile is available in a factory ColorPlus finish. Contact us to request a ColorPlus quote if you'd like a factory-finished color option.

How to Install
  1. Maintain at least 6 in. of clearance from grade and follow James Hardie's flashing details at rooflines, decks and penetrations.
  2. Cut outdoors with a Hardie-approved blade and dust collection, or score and snap for straight runs.
  3. Overlap courses a minimum of 1-1/4 in. and blind-nail with a No. 11 gauge roofing nail at 24 in. o.c. maximum, 3/4 in. to 1 in. from the top edge.
  4. Face-nail through the overlap only where high wind or code requires it.
  5. Prime all field cuts and fastener heads, and caulk vertical joints before finish coating.
