Questions
S4S E4E or grooved - which do I need?
Grooved boards run the main deck field with a hidden fastener for a clean, screw-free surface. S4S E4E (square edge) is face-screwed and used for stairs and the outer perimeter, where a hidden clip has nothing to grip.
Does Ipe need staining or sealing?
No stain is required for protection – Ipe is naturally rot- and insect-resistant. Left unfinished, it will weather to a silver-gray patina; periodic oiling maintains the rich brown tone.
What lengths are available?
This listing is stocked in 16 ft. lengths only.
