Irwin Vise-Grip 7R Straight Jaw Locking Pliers, 7 in.
Straight jaws meet face to face, so they hold flat stock, square bar and sheet across the whole jaw rather than at four points. That is the reason to choose this over the curved jaw: clamping and holding rather than turning.
Locked on and set down, it works as a portable vice. The adjusting screw sets the opening and keeps it, so the second grip matches the first.
IRWIN backs these with a lifetime limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship.

Questions
Straight jaw or curved jaw?
Straight for flat, square and hex work and for clamping, because the jaws contact across their full width. Curved for turning nuts and rounded bolt heads. The curved versions in this size are the 7CR and the 7WR.
Does it cut wire?
No. The 7WR is the same tool with a wire cutter behind the jaws.
Is this the Original or the Fast Release?
The Original, with the classic trigger release. The Fast Release 7R is stock number 3T.
