King Chain 3/4 in. Die-Cast Double Swivel
A double swivel turns at both ends, so neither the chain above it nor the line below it can wind up. It goes in the middle of a run rather than at the end of one.
It is die cast rather than forged. Die-cast fittings are for light utility work, not rigging, and should not be shock loaded. Safe work load is 53 lb (24 kg). Never exceed this rating, and do not use for overhead lifting.

- The usual place for it is a tie-out or a hanging chain that rotates in use

Questions
Why a double swivel?
It turns at both ends, so nothing above or below it winds up. A single swivel only frees one side.
Is it load rated?
Yes, 53 lb (24 kg) safe work load (SWL). Do not use for rigging, shock loading, or overhead lifting.
Where should it go?
In the middle of the run, between the two things that rotate relative to each other.
Will it survive outdoors?
Die castings pit and chalk outdoors over time. Inspect it and replace it when it gets rough or stiff.
