The heavy end of the sisal range at 3/8 in., 50 ft. per hank. At this diameter it behaves more like a rope than a twine and is comfortable to pull on by hand.
- Biodegradable natural agave fibre
- Grips, and holds a knot without slipping
- The coarse look synthetic rope cannot fake, which is why it turns up in decorative and rustic work as often as in the garden

Questions
How is it different from the 1/4 in.?
Diameter only. The 3/8 in. is easier on the hands and stronger; the 1/4 in. is easier to knot in tight spaces.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes, but it will break down over time. That is a feature for garden ties and a problem for anything permanent.
Does it shed fibres?
Yes. Sisal sheds, especially when new. Keep it away from anything where loose fibre matters.
Is it strong enough for a load?
No published safe working load is available for this twine and natural fibre loses strength unevenly as it ages. Do not use it for lifting or anything load-bearing.
