KingCord 9/64 in. x 48 ft. Smooth Braided Cotton Rope
Fine smooth braided cotton, 9/64 in. by 48 ft. Cotton is soft, matte and takes dye, which is why it is the cord of choice where the rope is going to be handled or seen rather than loaded.
It is weaker than synthetic cord of the same size. Treat it as a utility and craft cord, not a load-carrying rope.
- Smooth braid gives a round, even cord with no twist to fight
- Lies flat and does not kink out of a coil the way twisted rope does
- Natural fibre, natural colour
- Absorbs water
- 9/64 in. x 48 ft.

Questions
Is it strong enough to hang something?
No. Cotton is much weaker than synthetic cord of the same diameter and no safe working load is published. Do not use it to support anything.
Why cotton rather than nylon?
Cotton is soft, matte and takes dye. Nylon is stronger but shiny and slick. Cotton is chosen for feel and appearance.
Does it shrink?
Cotton absorbs water and can shrink slightly when it dries. Allow for that on anything cut to length.
Will it rot?
It can if stored damp. It is a natural fibre, so keep it dry.
