Makita 743012-7 7 in. Rubber Backing Pad
A 7 in. (180 mm) rubber backing pad from Makita. It threads onto the spindle and backs up a 7 in. abrasive disc, which a lock nut clamps in the centre.
The rubber flexes so the disc follows the surface. It fits Makita 7 in. tools with a 5/8 in. spindle, such as the 9227C sander-polisher and the GV7000C and PV7000C.
It is for fibre sanding discs with a centre hole. For hook-and-loop discs, Makita sells a separate hook-and-loop pad.
