Onward 4-3/4 in. Zinc Screen Door Pull
A screen door pull is a light surface handle sized for a screen or storm door, where the frame is thin and a heavy pull would look and feel wrong.
The fixing matters more than the handle on a screen door: the frame is thin, so short screws in soft aluminium or light timber pull out.
- 4-3/4 in., the size that appears in most screen door hardware kits
- Suits replacing a broken original as much as fitting out a new door
- Zinc finish
- Model 262XV
- Measure the existing hole centres before ordering a replacement
How to install
- Position it at a comfortable height and clear of the door catch.
- On a thin frame, use through-fixings rather than short screws into the face.
- Fit the pull on both faces where the door is used from both sides.
- Check the pull clears the frame when the door is fully open, so it does not mark the wall.
Questions
Will it fit a standard screen door?
4-3/4 in. is the common size in screen door hardware kits, but measure the existing hole centres before ordering a replacement.
Is it strong enough for an exterior door?
It is sized for a screen or storm door. A solid exterior door wants a heavier pull.
Indoor or outdoor?
Zinc suits sheltered positions. A porch or storm door under cover is fine; fully exposed wants galvanized or stainless.
Does it include a catch?
No, the pull is a handle only.
