The LS30 is a 3-3/8 in. reinforcing angle that bends in the field from 0 to 135 degrees, so it can tie members that meet at odd angles. It fastens with 10d common nails or #9 x 1-1/2 in. Strong-Drive SD connector screws.
Bend it one time only. Re-bending work-hardens the steel and voids the rating.

How to Install
- Bend the angle to the joint angle one time only.
- Fill the holes with 10d common nails or #9 x 1-1/2 in. SD screws.
- Where a single LS makes the connection, block the joist against rotation.

Can I bend it back and forth?
No. Simpson allows one bend only.
Can I use it on a pressure-treated deck?
Not this finish. G90 galvanizing is for dry, interior framing. For preservative-treated lumber or exterior exposure, Simpson calls for ZMAX, hot-dip galvanized or stainless steel connectors and matching fasteners. Ask us about the ZMAX or stainless version.
